PARCO Pearl Gas (Private) Limited (PPGL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pak-Arab Refinery Limited and is Pakistan’s largest LPG marketing company. With a strong presence in the country’s LPG sector for over three decades, the company was previously known as SHV Energy Pakistan. It was affiliated with the Dutch-based SHV Group, the world’s largest LPG marketer.
PARCO completed the acquisition of SHV Energy Pakistan (Private) Limited by purchasing 100% of its shares following the divestment by SHV Calor Asia B.V. (Netherlands). The company had already established itself as one of the largest LPG marketing and distribution companies in Pakistan, with a nationwide network of distributors and customers, as well as expertise in industrial LPG applications.
By bringing together the country’s largest LPG supplier and the leading LPG marketing company under a unified management structure, the acquisition created significant synergies that improved service delivery across Pakistan. This strategic move marked a major milestone in PARCO’s expansion and diversification strategy. Following the acquisition, the company was renamed PARCO Pearl Gas (Private) Limited (PPGL) in 2012.
